10 Day Private Tour: It was such a pleasure to work with Emily. Everything went off without a hitch! There were some changes either in drivers or guides but this was communicated in advance via whats app. Drivers were always on time and very professional. Our 2 favorite guides were Daniel Guia in Madrid and Luis Salas in Seville. They gave great recommendations for shopping, restaurants or sights to visit when you were on your own. We had so many wonderful experiences on our trip from the private horse show outside of Cordoba with a live Spanish guitarist to the white villages , tapas bars, walking tours of Seville, Madrid and the Alhambra. Emily was in contact all the time if needed . Sorry Emily it took so long to write this, life gets so busy and that 's why you have Guided Portugal plan your trip!

Wine Tasting Experience: Savor the Unique Flavors of Vinho Verde

The culmination of the vineyard tour is, of course, the wine tasting. In the estate’s elegant tasting room, you’ll have the opportunity to savor the refreshing, light, and subtly effervescent qualities of Vinho Verde wines.

The tasting will introduce you to the range of Vinho Verde, from crisp, citrusy white wines to richer, complex reds and rosés. Some wines are single-varietal expressions, showcasing the unique characteristics of each grape, while others are blends, harmoniously uniting different grapes for a balanced taste profile.

The tasting is often accompanied by local delicacies such as regional cheeses, smoked meats, and artisan bread, allowing you to experience the perfect pairing of food and wine. As you savor each sip, you’ll appreciate the distinctive traits that make Vinho Verde wines a beloved choice for wine enthusiasts around the world.

Following the morning’s exploration, a well-deserved traditional Portuguese lunch awaits at a charming local tavern.

Portuguese cuisine is a delightful meander through the country’s rich heritage and influences, with the Vinho Verde region offering its own delectable specialties.

The menu is often curated around fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. You might find yourself tucking into hearty dishes like ‘Arroz de Pato’ (duck rice) or ‘Bacalhau à Braga’ (Braga-style cod), complemented by a glass of Vinho Verde, naturally. Or perhaps you will indulge in ‘Posta Mirandesa,’ a sumptuous meat dish that exemplifies northern Portugal’s penchant for robust flavors.

Don’t forget to save room for dessert, as Portuguese sweets are not to be missed. ‘Toucinho do Céu’ (almond and egg yolk cake) or ‘Pudim Abade de Priscos’ (crème caramel-like pudding) could round off your gastronomic adventure.

This relaxed, leisurely lunch provides a sensory immersion into Portuguese culinary traditions, where food is a cornerstone of cultural pride and familial bonds.

Emily and Jorge are the absolute best hosts! Sweet, knowledgeable, and fun people, would book a tour with them without hesitation!
